Bechert Bros. Manufacturing, Inc. is a precision machining corporation located in Central Connecticut. The Company is owned and operated by James F. Bechert and William F. Bechert. The Company manufactures high precision machined components and assemblies on a subcontract basis. Industries served include aerospace, military, firearms, commercial and medical.
The late James R. Bechert along with his two sons James F. and William founded Bechert Bros. in 1977. The Company was located initially in a 6000 sq ft building on Broad St in Bristol. From the start, a philosophy of providing the highest quality product and services for our customers was instituted. This is the attitude that continues today.
Operations began with a wide variety of machine tools including one of the first CNC lathes to be employed in an area machine shop. An investment strategy evolved that resulted in Bechert Bros. being one of the most modern and well-equipped manufacturing facilities in the area today.
Our Company continued to grow and in 1989 a new 20,000 sq. ft. facility was built in neighboring Forestville. Our Quality Control Department is a separate inspection area of 1000 sq ft with independent temperature control.
Commitment to quality and support of our customers' needs are the foundation that this company was built upon. Our quality control department has been given numerous awards. Our Quality Control manager and Supervisor have been awarded Designated Source Quality Representative (DSQR) status. We also achieved “ship to stock” status with all of our customers.
One of our responsibilities is helping our customers develop new products. We get involved with product design and lend our expertise in the area of “ease of manufacture”. We have in house capabilities to prototype new products. We also design and build our own tooling to take a product from the prototype stage into full production.
